Air Chief Marshal attributes recent victory over India to field marshal’s leadership

Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu said on Tuesday that the country’s armed forces defeated India despite the fact that latter had an upper hand in terms of numerical strength, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a graduation parade at the Pakistan Air Force Academy, he said that the reasons why Pakistan was able to defeat India during recent military confrontation was that there was a greater coordination between the three wings of the armed forces and Field Marshal Asim Munir led from the front. “Keeping its tradition alive, the Pakistan Air Force downed the enemy’s latest jets,” he said, and added that never before the world had seen such a spectacle; such a might of the air force.

Once again, air chief marshal went on to say, Pakistan Air Force proved its professional expertise and superiority in all spheres.

He said that the air force’s superb performance during recent military confrontation with the neighbouring country had set a precedent in the modern warfare.

Sidhu said that the objective of the country’s forces was to ensure peace in the region, but not at the cost of self-respect. “Several latest fighter jets were included in the air force’s fleet in record time,” he said, adding, “The entire nation is proud of the air force’s valour.”

The air chief marshal said that the recent victory over India was proof of the country’s leadership’s commitment. “The air force’s performance is proof of its professional preparedness.”

He made it clear that if ever India dared to attack Pakistan again, the air force’s response would be even stronger.

“Pakistan is a peace-loving country and wants to maintain friendly ties with all,” Sidhu said categorically.

He said that being a responsible nuclear state, Pakistan’s relations with the world and regional powers further strengthened.
