COAS vows retaliation after deadly militant attack in Balochistan

Chief of the Army Staff General Asim Munir has promised to hunt down the perpetrators of attacks on Pakistani security forces, as he visited Balochistan on Saturday after militants killed 18 soldiers in the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
General Asim Munir was given a comprehensive briefing on the prevailing security situation in Balochistan during his visit, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The Army Chief also attended the funeral prayers for the deceased soldiers and later inquired after the injured ones at the Combined Military Hospital in Quetta.
“Those who are acting as terrorist proxies of their foreign masters who have mastered the art of manifesting double standards of hunting with the hound and running with the hare are well known to us. No matter what these so-called ‘frenemies’ may do, you will surely be defeated by the resilience of our proud nation and its Armed Forces,” the COAS declared.
“For the defence of our motherland and its people, we will definitely retaliate and ‘hunt you down,’ whenever required and wherever you may be.”

As many as 18 Pakistani soldiers were martyred during an operation against terrorists in Kalat on Saturday morning, while 12 terrorists were also killed in the firefight.

Later during a sanitization operation in Harnai, another 11 militants were sent to hell on Saturday.
