Rao Abdul Karim likely to replace Dr Usman as Punjab Police IG

The federal government has decided to make key appointments and transfers in the police leadership, according to sources.

A decision has been taken to replace Punjab Police Inspector General Dr Usman Anwar.

Sources say Rao Abdul Karim is set to be appointed as the new IG of Punjab Police.

Dr Usman is likely to be posted Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) as part of the reshuffle.

Officials said a formal notification will be issued after the federal cabinet approves the summary through circulation.
