CSB to decide on promotion of 136 officers to grade-21

The Central Selection Board will decide the promotion cases of different officers in its three-day meeting, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

24News has received the agenda of Central Selection Board’s (CSB) three-day meeting due to be held on January 4 (Monday) for discussing the promotions of federal government officials to grade-20 and grade-21.  

According to details, on the first day, the Board will discuss the promotions of officers in the police department as well as in Pakistan Administrative Service.

The promotions of officials posted at secretariat and Information Group will also come under discussion on the first day.  

On the second day, the CSB will consider the promotions of Customs and Inland Revenue Service officials.

Similarly, the promotions of MIS, Foreign Office and Pakistan Audit and Account Service officials will also be considered on the second day.  

The promotions of officers posted at Postal, Commerce and Pakistan Railways will also be taken up for discussion on the second day.

Likewise, the promotion of additional general manager Infrastructure, Civil Engineering department and additional general managers of Passengers will also come under discussion on the second day.  

On the third day of the CSB meeting, the promotions of several senior federal government officials will be considered.    

Sources say 20 police officers are on the panel for promotion to grade-21 while 47 police officers are on the panel for promotion to grade-20.

Similarly, 70 officers working at federal secretariat are on the panel for promotion to grade-21, while 147 officers of the same group are on the panel for promotion to grade-20.

As many as 46 Pakistan Administrative Service officials are candidates for promotion to grade-21 while 38 officers of the same department are on the panel for promotion to grade-20.

There are 11 Information Department officers who have been shortlisted for promotion to grade-21 while 17 officials are on the panel for promotion to grade-20.

The CSB consists of four provincial chief secretaries and IGPs.

Federal Public Service Commission and CSB Chairman Zahid Saeed will chair the meeting.
