CDA to build Olympic Village, grand hotel in Islamabad

Capital Development Authority (CDA) is set to start work on Islamabad's development under Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi's Vision 2027 for the federal capital, adding that work on Olympic Village to begin soon as Capital City to be prepared for Olympic Games, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. 

CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that the development and prosperity of the capital city will increase living standard of its citizens. He said that in the first phase, a cricket stadium, athletes' residences and other sports grounds will be built in the Olympic Village. A special tree plantation campaign will be launched to maintain greenery and forests in Islamabad. 

CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa said new parks will be built in Islamabad to provide new recreational opportunities to citizens. A seven-star hotel and an exhibition center will also be built in Islamabad. 

He said a 1600-kanal city of Khamushan (graveyard) will be built in Islamabad, in which all facilities will be provided for burial. 

CDA chief said new projects will be started to make the city signal-free, which will improve traffic flow.
