Cold, dry weather to prevail across Pakistan; fog likely in several regions

Cold and dry weather is expected to continue in most parts of the country tonight and on Saturday, while very cold conditions will persist in hilly areas, according to the latest weather forecast.

Moderate to severe fog is likely to affect the plains of Punjab, Upper Sindh and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly during night and early morning hours.

For Saturday, cold and dry weather is forecast in Islamabad and surrounding areas, with the possibility of fog at a few locations during the morning.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts are expected to experience cold and dry conditions, while hilly areas will remain very cold during morning and night hours. Fog is likely in Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swabi, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan and nearby areas.

Punjab is expected to remain cold and dry across most districts. Extremely cold and dry weather will prevail in Murree, Galiyat and adjoining areas.

Fog is likely in several districts, including Sialkot, Narowal, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Okara, Kasur, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Faisalabad, Jhang, Shorkot, Multan, Kot Addu, Bahawalnagar, Khanpur, Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan.

In Sindh, cold and dry weather is expected to continue in most districts, while fog is likely in Sukkur, Rohri, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Shaheed Benazirabad, Mohenjodaro and surrounding areas during morning and night hours.

Balochistan will experience cold and dry conditions in most districts, with severe cold expected in northern areas during morning and night.

In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, the weather is expected to remain extremely cold and partly cloudy, with haze likely at a few places during the morning.

The lowest minimum temperatures recorded today included Leh at minus 9 degrees Celsius, Kalat at minus 7, Gopis and Kalam at minus 4, Quetta at minus 3 and Malam Jabba at minus 2 degrees Celsius.
