Hospital administration briefs PML-N leader on medical operations: Facility aims to deliver international-standard healthcare services
The ruling party, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), President Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, on Friday visited Sharif Medical City Hospital in Lahore, where he inspected various wards and reviewed healthcare facilities.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the hospital administration provided Nawaz Sharif with a detailed briefing on the operational, administrative, and medical services being offered at the facility.
Sharif Medical City, established in 2007, is a 500-bed tertiary care hospital equipped with modern medical infrastructure, including emergency services, outpatient and inpatient departments, advanced diagnostic facilities, private rooms, and 13 fully equipped operation theatres with dedicated pre- and post-operative care units.
The hospital also offers comprehensive intensive care services ranging from advanced monitoring to continuous ventilatory support.
Its emergency and trauma centre operates round the clock, catering to acute and life-threatening conditions through specialised emergency units for medicine, surgery, paediatrics, and gynaecology and obstetrics.
The facility also houses specialised centres, including the Sharif Centre of Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, the Heart Centre, the Sharif Institute of Urology and Renal Transplant, the Sharif Centre for Cleft Lip and Palate, and Sharif Cancer Care, all staffed by trained professionals and equipped with modern technology.
A fully functional blood bank and an active blood donor society managed by medical students further support patient care, reflecting the hospital’s mission to provide compassionate and high-quality medical services.
