Three-year-old boy murdered in Mardan; suspect killed in police encounter

A three-year-old boy, Abdullah, was brutally murdered in the Savaldhir area of Mardan, sparking panic and outrage among local residents.

According to police, the body of Abdullah, son of Murad Ali, was recovered from nearby fields after he went missing shortly after leaving his home. The discovery of the child’s body caused fear and grief in the area, with residents expressing shock over the incident.

Locals staged protests and demanded swift justice, terming the killing of the innocent child.

Police said the main accused, identified as Junaid, son of Diyar Khan, was involved in the incident and was later killed during a police encounter.

Authorities did not provide further details about the circumstances of the encounter.

Meanwhile, police have expanded the scope of the investigation to determine whether any other individuals were involved and to gather complete evidence related to the Savaldhir incident.
