Firing on bailiff team in Lahore injures three including police officer

Three people including a police officer were injured during an effort to vacate a house in Lahore's Mustafa Town, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Tuesday.

According to the details of the incident, on the court's direction, a bailiff team accompanied by the police force reached a house in Mustafa Town and asked the residents to vacate the building.

Reportedly, the residents strongly refused to accept the court orders to vacate the house and opened straight fire on the bailiff team without any discrimination.

Resultantly, three people including a police officer badly injured who were promptly shifted to the hospital for treatment.

A bailiff is a person or a team appointed by the court to execute a particular order. Bailiffs also served legal notices, summons and court documents.

The court may depute a bailiff to visit a site and prepare a report to arrest someone to detain something or produce someone in illegal custody.
