Lahore Airport shuts down amid swarms of birds

The management of Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIA) started the implementation of daily closure of the airport due to abundance of birds in adjacent areas of the airport, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
As per the new flight operation schedule, the Lahore Airport will remain closed for three hours from 5 am to 8 am every day for all kind of flights, including Emirates Airlines, Qatar Airways, Air Arabia, Turkish Airlines, and Fly Jinnah.
Talks between the management of Lahore Airport and the airlines' managements are underway for amendments in the flight schedule for two and a half months.
The foreign airlines are pressuring to implement international flights schedule.
