Tauqeer Nasir removed as Punjab Film Censor Board chief

Veteran actor Tauqeer Nasir has been removed from his position as chairman of the Punjab Film Censor Board, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

According to official sources, the Information and Culture secretary will serve as the new chairman of the board.

Actor and writer Wasi Chaudhry has been appointed vice chairman. He had previously served on the Film Censor Board and the Film Committee during the PTI government.

The newly constituted board also includes several prominent industry figures, including actress Resham.
