Momina Iqbal harassment case: Court extends Saqib Chadhar’s interim bail
Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal’s harassment case saw another development after a local court extended the interim bail of Punjab Assembly member Saqib Chadhar until July 13, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
The matter came before Additional Sessions Judge Nusrat Siddiqui, who extended Saqib Chadhar’s interim bail and directed him to join the ongoing investigation.
During the hearing, the investigating officer informed the court that Saqib Chadhar’s mobile phone, which was required for the investigation, had only been received a day earlier. He told the court that the investigation could not yet be completed because the device still needed to be examined.
After hearing the investigator’s submission, the court ordered the investigation to be completed and adjourned the proceedings until July 13.
During the hearing, counsel for Momina Iqbal argued that Saqib Chadhar was allegedly misusing his influence and deliberately delaying the investigation. The lawyer claimed that the inquiry was not moving forward because of his alleged actions.
The court also directed the investigating team to complete the probe and present the investigation record at the next hearing.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had registered a case against Saqib Chadhar on a complaint filed by Momina Iqbal, alleging harassment.
