Inter, Matric students to appear only in elective subjects exams from July 10

There is a good news for intermediate and matriculation students as the government has decided to take the examinations of the only elective subjects.

The exam date has also been pushed back from June 24 to July 10.

Addressing a press conference after the meeting of inter-provincial education ministers, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood said the student of ninth and 10th will appear only in elective subjects along with Mathematics.

Similarly, 11th and 12th students will also appear only in the elective exams.

He said the decision of opening the educational institutes was not easy but was necessary to reduce the learning losses of the student.

The federal minister clarified that they had decided that no student would be passed and promoted to the next class without appearing in the examinations.

He confirmed that this year exams would be taken in any condition and they had taken the decision unanimously in the meeting.

Shafqat Mehmood said they had requested the boards to take exams after July 10 and should also give some gap between the papers.

The federal minister said the exams of class 10th and 12th would be taken first and class 9th and 11th later.

Similarly, the O level students would appear in examinations from July 26 to August 10.

He said they wanted results of the exams of these classes in September as it would ease students for their admissions in universities and colleges.

Federal Education Minister also announced that the corona vaccination would be mandatory for all the teachers who would take exams of the children.
