The Lahore High Court on Friday extended interim bail of former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan till June 6 in a case related to concealing facts in Zille Shah’s murder, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

LHC judge Justice Anwar-ul-Haq Pannu heard the case.

While extending Imran’s interim bail till June 6, the court asked him to join the investigation.

The prosecution told the court that despite the fact that the PTI chairman was issued notice, he did not join the investigation.

However, Imran’s lawyer said that his client was ready to record his statement right now.

ATC judge orders Imran to join investigation

Earlier, the PTI chairman went to the anti-terrorism court for securing bail in cases related to violent incidents of May 9.

ATC Judge Ijaz Ahmed Buttar presided over the proceedings.

The judge directed Imran to join the investigation. But the PTI chairman came to the rostrum and told the court that he was facing threats to his life.

His lawyer Salman Safdar requested the court to club together all cases of Imran as he was ready to present arguments in all cases on a single day.

On this, the judge remarked that he was adjourning hearing on the interim bail plea, again directing Imran to join the investigation.

Earlier, when Imran reached the ATC, the judge got annoyed by the noise during his appearance before the court.

The judge ordered the court staff to take the PTI chairman outside the room so that the atmosphere of the court would not be disturbed.

Later, the court extended Imran Khan’s interim bail until June 13 in three cases relating to Jinnah House attack, setting Shadman Police Station on fire and attack on Askari Tower.

The court also ordered the PTI chief to join the investigation.
