ECC approves technical grants for 18 ministries, releases supplementary funds over Rs40 billion
The Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet has approved establishment of 'Women Inclusive Finance Support Fund' Trust.
The approval was granted at a meeting of ECC in Islamabad today with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb in the chair. The Women Inclusive Finance Support Fund' Trust is under the inclusive finance project funded by Asian Development Bank.
The ECC meeting also approved technical grants for 18 ministries besides release of supplementary funds worth over Rs 40 billion.
The ECC approves amendment in minimum price and cess rate of tobacco. It also okayed honorarium policy for government employees. The withdrawal of control of Hyderabad and Karachi package from Sindh was also approved.
The ECC also approved a tripartite power purchase agreement of 1145 Megawatts Karachi Nuclear Plant Unit-2 (K-2) and Unit-3 (K-3) at Karachi. The ECC also approved amendment in import policy order for state-owned defence production entities and their wholly owned commercial subsidiaries.
The ECC approved release of Rs64 million for transferred staff in CDA and return funds to CDA for district courts project in Islamabad.
The ECC also gave nod for release of Rs5.6 billion for ADB-funded women’s financial project besides establishment of Support Fund Trust under women’s financial project. PILDAT gets Rs 50 million grant for promotion of democracy and public policy as ECC approved financial support to PILDAT through Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.
