Mohsin Naqvi reviews preparations for team’s future cricket series

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi on Monday reviewed preparations of Pakistan’s cricket team for future cricket series, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

On the occasion Mohsin Naqvi directed to start work on central contract also.

He gave these directives while presiding over a special meeting in PCB Headquarters in Lahore. 

Director International Cricket Usman Wahla apprised PCB Chairman about national cricket team’s preparations for home series against South Africa, Sri Lanka and foreign tours of West Indies and Bangladesh.

During the meeting it was decided that all international players of Pakistan will play a domestic tournament.

Mohsin Naqvi said that domestic players will further groom after playing with international cricket players.

He said that only a comprehensive infrastructure will groom a cricketer.

Head-coach Mike Hesson, Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed, Manager Naveed Akram Cheema, Director International Cricket Usman Wahla, Director High Performance Center Aaqib Javed and Captain Salman Ali Agha was also present on the occasion.

Fitness test of players starts

Fitness players who will participate in Lahore Region Senior Inter-District Tournament started.

During the first phase, fitness tests of Lahore East region was completed.

As many as 74 players were short-listed for the tests which were held LCCA ground Lahore

Lahore Region Cricket Association Head Coach Aizaz Cheema, Rao Iftikhar Anjum, Kamran Khan supervised the fitness tests and coaches Irfan Fazil, Humayun Farhat and Kamran Sajid and trainder Arshad Iqbal and Faisal Rai extended their support.

A two-kilometer running, push-ups, jumps and run-a-three was included in the fitness test.

Mohsin Naqvi meets Gaddafi Stadium staff

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi held a meeting with staff members of Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore Monday.

Mohsin Naqvi met with each staff member separately and lauded their hard work and dedication while performing their duties despite current heatwave.

The PCB Chairman also appreciated the staff for looking after the ground and pitches day and night.
