Pakistan unveils squad for Hockey Men's Nations Cup 2025

Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) selection committee on Monday unveiled a 20-member squad for the upcoming FIH Hockey Men's Nations Cup 2025, scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from June 15 to 21.

Imad Shakeel Butt will lead the national hockey team. Alongside skipper Imad Shakeel Butt, the selected players include Muneeb ur Rehman, Abdullah Ishtiaq, Muhammad Abdullah, and Muhammad Sufyan Khan. 

Other key players named in the team are Abdul Manan, Hammad Anjum, Arshad Liaqat, Moeen Shakeel, and Zakariya Hayat.

Adding further depth to the team are Ghazanfar Ali, Salman Razaq, Junaid Manzoor, Abdul Hanan Shahid, and Rana Waheed, while Afraz Khan, Abdul Rehman, Ahmad Nadeem, Mohib Ullah, and Rana Waleed round off the full squad.

The coaching responsibilities will be spearheaded by Olympian Tahir Zaman, who has been appointed as the head coach of the team. 

He will be assisted by two former hockey stalwarts, Olympian Muhammad Usman and Zeeshan Ashraf, serving as assistant coaches.
