Gold price surges by Rs4,600 per tola in Pakistan
The prices of gold registered a sharp increase in the local market on Tuesday, with 24-karat gold per-tola rate gaining Rs4,600 to settle at Rs476,362 compared to Rs471,762 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs3,944 to Rs408,403 from Rs404,459, whereas 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs3,616 to Rs374,383 against Rs370,767.
In the international market, the price of gold increased by $46 to $4,540 per ounce from $4,494.
Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs94 to Rs8,153, while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs80 to Rs6,989.
The price of silver in the international market increased by $0.94 to $76.69 per ounce, the association reported.
