Two people were killed and another injured when rivals traded fire in Badani area of Lakhi Ghulam Shah Tehsil in Shikarpur on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to details, the gunbattle broke out between the Shir and Badani groups in which two people lost their lives while another injured.

According to police sources, both the groups used modern weapons and the authorities feared that the death toll might rise.

Among those shot dead included Shabbir Shar and Nizam Shar.

Police officials launched an investigation into the armed conflict.
