Clerk arrested for threatening Municipal Corporation CEO in Rawalpindi

Police in Rawalpindi on Monday arrested a clerk who tried to take life of CEO Municipal Corporation Ali Imran, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Abdul Basit tried to kill Imran at the CEO office.
According to details, Abdul Basit entered the office along with two unidentified persons and pointed a 30-bore pistol at Imran.
He then threatened him that he would kill him if he did not withdraw his transfer orders.
It has emerged that prior to the attack, Abdul Basit had also threatened the CEO over phone.
However, when office guards intervened, Abdul Basit fled from the scene while brandishing the weapon in his hands.
