In a breakthrough under the Sindh government’s ongoing Nejat Mehran Operation, a notorious dacoit, Farhan Shah, who was wanted in more than 40 heinous criminal cases, has surrendered to police in Khairpur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

According to details, the development comes amid intensified pressure from law enforcement agencies operating in the riverine (kacha) areas.

The operation is being supervised by DIG Larkana/Sukkur Nasir Aftab, with field leadership under SSP Khairpur Dr. Samiullah Soomro.

Police officials confirmed that Farhan Shah, son of Riaz Hussain Shah Rashdi, had become a symbol of fear in Pir Goth subdivision and the surrounding kacha areas.

He was reportedly wanted in multiple cases, including murder, armed robbery, dacoity, extortion, police encounters, and terrorism-related offenses.

According to the police spokesperson, the Nejat Mehran Operation will continue until the complete elimination of criminal networks in the riverine belt and full restoration of law and order.

Police authorities reiterated their commitment to protecting citizens’ lives and property while ensuring lasting peace in the region.
