Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court seeking suspension of action on all cases registered against him in the federal capital and the summon notices, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The petition also sought details of cases filed in different police stations in Islamabad and other parts of the country.

The PTI chairman said that several cases of the same nature of charge have been lodged against him.

The basic rights are being violated using the criminal law for political advantage.

The petition further stated that cases have been registered under the terrorism sections.

It said that the basic rights are being trampled by making wrong use of the anti-terrorism law.
