Islamabad United face Peshawar Zalmi in PSL clash tonight

Peshawar Zalmi will play their must-win match against Islamabad United in Pakistan Super League (PSL) X’s 22nd contest being played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore tonight, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

On the points table, Islamabad United is ranked top with 10 points while Peshawar Zalmi is on number five position with only four points.

Today’s match will start at 8:00 pm.

Under an expected clear skies and traditionally batting wicket, Peshawar Zalmi would be looking for rhythm to return in their ranks after two wins and four losses this season.

As the 2025 Pakistan Super League reaches its halfway point, Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United find themselves on contrasting frontiers heading into their showdown. 

Peshawar Zalmi have endured a difficult campaign, managing just two victories against four defeats. Their batting has been particularly concerning, crossing the 150-run mark only once in six matches – a dominant display against bottom-placed Multan Sultans where they amassed 227-7 en route to a 120-run victory.

Their most recent outing ended in disappointment, suffering a comprehensive 64-run defeat to Quetta Gladiators. The batting lineup, despite being led by star batsman Babar Azam, has consistently underperformed, raising questions about their playoff aspirations.
