Babar, Maaz shine as Peshawar Zalmi outclass United in PSL X clash
Peshawar Zalmi thrashed Islamabad United by six wickets in the 22nd match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 being played at the Gaddafi Stadium on Friday.
Chasing a target of 144 runs, Zalmi secured victory in the 17th over, thanks to impressive batting displays from Maaz Sadaqat and skipper Babar Azam.
Youngster Maaz Sadaqat impressed with a fluent 55-run innings, while Babar Azam anchored the chase with an unbeaten 53.

Islamabad United won the toss and opted to bat first but struggled to build momentum. They managed to post 143 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Sahibzada Farhan top-scored with 36 runs, while Ben Dwarshuis added a valuable 33 runs to the total.
Peshawar Zalmi's bowlers executed their plans effectively, with Mohammad Ali leading the attack, claiming 3 wickets.
Luke Wood, Alzarri Joseph, Ahmad Daniyal, Saim Ayub, and Hussain Talat contributed with a wicket each, restricting United to a modest total.
In response, Peshawar Zalmi chased down the 144-run target comfortably, finishing at 147/4 in just 16.4 overs.
Their 100-plus partnership proved decisive in securing the win.
Islamabad United’s bowlers failed to contain Zalmi’s batting charge.
Kyle Mayers, Ben Dwarshuis, Naseem Shah, and Riley Meredith each took one wicket, but their efforts weren’t enough to change the outcome.
