Man shoots woman, her two kids dead, then turns gun on himself in Lahore
A stone-hearted man shot dead a woman and her two children, and then turned the gun on himself in a Lahore flat on Saturday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to police, two other children were also injured in the firing by the man.
The incident took place near Mai Rupa Darbar located on Begum Road in Mozang area of Lahore.
Soon after receiving the report, a police team rushed to the spot and shifted the dead bodies of woman and children to the hospital.
The deceased woman was later identified as Ayesha, who was 42 years old, Muneeb 10, and Muswara 15. The names of the injured children were Samra and Manahil.
The accused was identified as Shahid Jutt, who was working as a property dealer in Mozang.
Sources in police said that the accused helped the woman get the flat on rent and both have illicit relations. Police further revealed that there were reports of frequent exchagne of hot words between them at the flat.
Police failed to determine the real cause behind the gruesome murders.
Police have collected all the necessary evidence from the crime scene and sent it to the forensic laboratory.
Later, the police registered an FIR on behalf of deceased Ayesha’s son-in-law, Moeez Khan.
According to the text of the FIR, accused stormed into the flat by breaking the main door and opened indiscriminate firing, resulting in death of Moeez Khan’s mother-in-law, sister-in-law and brother-in-law.
He further said his wife Samra and another brother-in-law Manahil were injured in the firing incident.
Afterwards, the accused put the pistol on his temple and killed himself, the FIR text said.
As per the preliminary investigation, accused Shahid has been in contact with deceased Ayesha for three years and wanted to marry her elder daughter Samra.
Police sources said Ayesha had refused to marry off her 20-year-old daughter to a 40-year-old man, instead she had solemnized Samra’s Nikah with Moeez Khan in February last.
According to SSP Operations Tauqeer Naeem, Ayesha was a widow.
