Cabinet meeting to review TLP pact, economic affairs 

The federal cabinet is going to meet with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair today (Tuesday), the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

 According to sources, the meeting will review the economic and political situation in the country and members will be taken into confidence in the meeting on the agreement with the TLP. 

The cabinet will be briefed on the economic indicators for the first quarter of the current financial year.

Briefing on vacancies and ban on vintage cars import are too part of 15-point agenda. An amendment to the 1973 Rules of Business for the construction of houses will be approved. 

Approval for the re-appointment of Brig (r ) Shujaul Hassan as CEO of Pakistan Steel Mills is on the agenda. The appointment of the Board of Governors of Sheikh Zayed Post Graduate Medical Institute Lahore and PIMS is also on the agenda.

Approval will be given to the CEO of Lakhra Power Generation Company to be given additional responsibility. Approval of the appointment of Fesco's Chief Executive is also part of the agenda. 

The members of the governing body of the Pakistan Engineering Council will be nominated for the next four years. The decisions of the ECC and the Cabinet Legislative Committee will be ratified.  Review of the decision of the Islamabad High Court regarding the development of Sector E-12 Islamabad.
