CTD police kill four TTP terrorists in North Waziristan
In a retaliatory firing by the law-enforcers of the Counter-Terrorism Department who came under the hail of bullets fired by some unknown terrorists Sunday night, the CTD police gunned down four of the assailants in Spain Wam, North Waziristan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Reportedly, when the CTD team was returning after conducting a Search and Strike Operation in the Spain Wam area between district Hangu and North Waziristan last night, it was ambushed at Jehazo Banda Nafri. Some unknown terrorists opened fire on the CTD men.
The CTD officials also traded fire and managed to kill four terrorists while almost ¾ assailants managed to escape taking advantage of the darkness.
However, no loss of life was reported on the CTD side.
The terrorists who were killed included: Sadiq Ullah alias AlQaeda resident of North Waziristan; Ahmad Rahim alias Saud, r/o North Waziristan; Samim Saeed alias Ustad r/o North Waziristan; and Mustafa Khan alias Mullah, r/o North Waziristan.
The killed terrorists belonged to the Amir Hatim Group of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) who were wanted by the CTD in several cases of extortion and target killings.
Two of the killed terrorists were involved in the firing incidents on police official who would perform the polio duties and they had already killed two cops: Akhir Zaman and Muhammad Shah.
The CTD police recovered 4 SMGs, 16 chargers, 4 bandoliers and hundreds of cartridges from the possession of the slain terrorists.
The CTD has cordoned off the area and started hunting down the fleeing terrorists.
