SSP Mufakhar sacked in connection with Shahbaz Tatla’s murder

Former SSP Mufakhar Adeel, an accused of advocate Shahbaz Tatla murder case has been terminated from his post, 24News HD TV Channel reported on Tuesday.
Taking disciplinary action against Mufakhar Adeel, the notification of dismissal was issued by the Establishment Division.
As an accused of murder case, Mufakhar Adeel was detained in Kot Lakhpat Jail nowadays.
Advocate Shahbaz Tatla went missing from his house in Lahore on February 7, 2020, after which a case of kidnapping was registered on the complaint of his brother Sajjad Ahmed.
The CCTV footage revealed that Shahbaz Tatla had left his office with SSP Mufakhar Adeel, after which an investigation was launched against the latter but he went into hiding to avoid his arrest.
On February 11, Mufakhar had erased all evidence of Shahbaz Tatla’s murder and gone into hiding. In the midst of all this, police arrested accomplice Asad Bhatti who confessed to only assisting the SSP in destroying the body of Shahbaz Tatla.
Ex-SSP Mufakhar Adeel had made his own arrest to the police on March 11, 2020. Another accused of the case admitted that he had provided acid to the SSP Mufakhar to dissolve the dead body of advocate Tatla in a drum.
