Hyderabad child-abuse case: accused killed in police encounter

An accused involved in abusing a child was killed during a police encounter Wednesday in Hyderabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the details, Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Muhammad Khan Barhamani acted along with his staff.

During patrolling, the police raided Meeran School area to capture the culprit involved in the killing of seven-year-old Zaala. The police faced resistance by the accused resulting in a crossfire in which the suspect Usama was killed.

In the Market station region, resident Faisal Qureshi’s daughter Zaala was mercilessly killed in a local plaza in the area and the corpse was thrown at the roof. The police reached the spot immediately and started the initial investigations.

The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Hyderabad Amjad Ahmed Sheikh formed a committee for the inquiry of this incident which keeping in view all the aspects of this case. The inquiry was conducted with great subtlety investigating four suspicious people and also conducting their medical tests as well. All of the suspects were released with the order to be back on call the following day. Upon calling, the accused Usama disappeared with his mobile phone also turned off which raised suspicion on him and his nomination in the FIR turned police’s suspicions about him murdering the girl into strong beliefs. The acquired CCTV footages also gave a strong evidence of Usama’s suspicious activities at the time of the murder.

Usama was planning on escaping Hyderabad upon knowledge of the situations. The police reached Miran School area to arrest him where he upon sight of the force started firing. The police fired in reaction which killed the accused. His 30-bore pistol and motorcycle were taken in police custody from the crime scene.
