ASF foils drug smuggling bid at Multan Airport

Airport Security Force (ASF) officials foiled a drug smuggling attempt at Multan International Airport, recovering 926 grams of crystal meth (ice) from a passenger’s luggage on Sunday.

According to ASF officials, the passenger, identified as Majeed Khan, was scheduled to depart for Doha on a private airline’s flight G9-558 when the contraband was discovered during luggage screening.

The seized narcotics were immediately confiscated, and the accused was handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) for further investigation.

ASF authorities said the operation was part of their ongoing crackdown on drug smuggling through Pakistan’s airports, adding that strict vigilance is being maintained to prevent such attempts in the future.
