The Federal Review Board (FRB) of the Supreme Court (SC) Saturday extended the detention period of late Allama Khadim Hussain Razvi’s son Hafiz Saad Rizvi.

According to the 24News HD TV Channel, the review board has extended the detention period of the head of the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) Saad Rizvi for one month in its decision.

The FRB held a virtual meeting in Karachi and discussed the issue of the detention of Hafiz Saad Rizvi of TLP in detail.

The SC also informed the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department, Punjab about the decision of the FRB on the extension of Saad Rizvi’s detention.

The TLP chief Hafiz Saad Rizvi has been lodged in the Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore under the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.

On September 29, Deputy Commissioner Lahore wrote a letter to the Federal Review Board to review the matter regarding the detention of the TLP chief Hafiz Saad Rizvi.
