The Ministry of Defence on Friday declared its disassociation from ex-servicemen's organizations like Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society and Veterans of Pakistan.

The spokesman said that the claims of these ex-servicemen's organizations supporting or recognizing the armed forces are also untrue as the armed forces neither recognize nor allow such societies.

The spokesman said that the Ministry has clear guidelines on the affairs of ex-servicemen's societies and already formulated comprehensive policy guidelines in this regard.

The same policy is also available in the office of the Ministry of Defence, Government of Pakistan for future consultation and guidance, the spokesman said adding that violation of this policy and rules will be a punishable offence.
