Nationwide holiday announced on September 6 for Eid Milad-un-Nabi
The federal government has declared a public holiday across the country on Saturday, September 6, in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
According to an official notification issued by the Cabinet Division with the approval of Prime Minister, all public and private offices, educational institutions, and government departments will remain closed on the day.
Eid Milad-un-Nabi, which marks the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), is observed every year with religious fervour and devotion across Pakistan.

Earlier, the Punjab government announced a holiday on Saturday, September 6, 2025, on account of 12th Rabiul Awwal.
All government and private offices, Civil Secretariat, and administrative departments, including OPDs, will remain closed.
