Iran says over 90% of missiles remain intact despite reports of losses

General Mohammad Reza Naqdi, a military adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, has rejected reports that Iran’s missile capabilities have been significantly weakened, claiming that more than 90% of the country’s missiles remain intact and secure.

In an interview with Iranian media, Naqdi said the missiles that had been lost were those launched during the war, adding that they had already been replaced with newly produced missiles.

He said Iran’s missile production system was self-sufficient and capable of continuing for a long period, allowing the country to maintain its missile capabilities despite wartime losses.

Recent reports in the US media have questioned White House claims that American military operations succeeded in destroying Iran’s missile and drone capabilities.

According to the reports, US military strikes did not completely disable Iran’s underground missile networks and drone launch platforms.

At the same time, efforts to counter repeated Iranian attacks have placed growing pressure on key US air-defence resources.

Naqdi claimed that Iran’s domestic defence facilities were continuing to produce missiles, with production keeping pace with operational use and helping the country maintain its overall capabilities.

The Iranian commander also issued a strong warning, saying Iran had so far fought a conventional war, but a shift to unconventional warfare could bring the confrontation to places such as Wall Street and Manhattan.

He further claimed that there was complete unity inside Iran and that relations between the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the government remained at their strongest level.
