Mishi Khan calls out Faryal Gohar over ‘Contradictory’ abuse revelations
Veteran Pakistani actress and television host Mishi Khan has sparked a massive debate on social media after openly questioning actress Faryal Gohar's revelations regarding past domestic abuse, pointing out major contradictions in her public behaviour.
Faryal Gohar appeared on a popular morning show and opened up about the horrific physical abuse she allegedly endured during her nine-year marriage to ex-husband Jamal Shah. Gohar shared distressing details from 30 to 35 years ago, claiming she was severely beaten with a belt and kicked in the kidneys, leading to medical complications and surgeries during her studies.
However, Mishi Khan took to social media to call out Faryal Gohar, expressing strong disapproval over the timing and nature of these statements.
In the clip, Mishi Khan strongly highlighted the glaring contradictions in Faryal Gohar’s behaviour, questioning how she could publicly share horrific details of being kicked in the kidneys and beaten with a belt 35 years ago, yet willingly sit next to that very same abusive ex-husband on national television just a short time prior.
Mishi Khan pointed out the hypocrisy of Faryal Gohar laughing, sharing jokes, and claiming to share highly cordial relations with both Jamal Shah and her former mother-in-law on a previous morning show, only to return for a solo interview later to cry about his past brutality.
Ultimately, Mishi Khan asserted that even if millions of rupees were offered, no dignified woman would ever agree to sit and smile next to an abuser who caused her such physical trauma, concluding that bringing up these decades-old matters now serves no real purpose and completely contradicts her own friendly on-screen behaviour.
