United Opp demands SC’s full-court hearing on no-confidence issue

The united opposition has issued a joint statement and demanded a full court hearing on the no-confidence issue in Supreme Court, 24News HD TV Channel reported on Sunday.

The Opposition in its joint statement appreciated the move of the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) to take suo moto notice of the situation in the country.

The Opposition said that in view of the serious constitutional crisis facing the country and the nation, they welcome the issuance of a brief order.

In the statement, the Opposition said people of Pakistan are hopeful that Pakistan's high judiciary will stand by the constitution and will give a verdict on the crisis created by the unconstitutional measures in a fair, just and constitutional manner.

The Opposition said Imran Niazi today openly violated the Constitution, the punishment of which is mentioned in Article 6.

Today is the darkest day in the history of the country, the Opposition said adding that they condemned Imran Khan’s today act which is a revolt against the constitution, democracy, law and political ethics.

The Opposition in its statement strongly condemned the unconstitutional and non-parliamentary actions and attitudes of all the groups of the Imran led government, including the National Assembly Speaker.

The statement said that the united opposition has proved its clear majority in the House. The Opposition also thanked all the parliamentarians for supporting it.
