Irfan Siddiqui advises Gandapur to stop wasting time on Imran Khan

Senator Irfan Siddiqui, a senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and head of its parliamentary group in the Senate, advised Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to focus on convincing those he plans to negotiate with, rather than spending prolonged meetings at Adiala Jail trying to persuade the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Speaking to the media outside Parliament House, Siddiqui dismissed the idea of trying to sway PTI's founder as "absurd," urging Gandapur to instead focus on engaging with those Imran Khan has been unable to reach for the past 18 months.

Siddiqui pointed out that for over a year and a half, Imran Khan has been demanding the attention of the establishment from a "rooftop," but the response from the other side has been clear: "politicians should engage with politicians."

Criticizing PTI's leadership, Siddiqui said their claims merely reflected the internal divisions within the party, and emphasized that such rhetoric holds no weight with either the establishment or the government. He noted a recurring pattern where individuals allowed into Adiala Jail often take the opportunity to spread baseless rumors in an attempt to inflate their own importance.

Responding to a question, Siddiqui remarked that internal conflicts within PTI have worsened significantly. He stated that neither the party nor its founder commands any sympathy anymore, as each member is now pursuing their own agenda. "The party’s affairs have turned into nothing short of a circus," he added.
