Asim Khan reaches World Squash Championship Asian qualifier final

Asim Khan advanced to the final of the Asian Qualifier for the World Squash Championship after defeating Hong Kong’s Meng Hong Tang in a thrilling semifinal on Friday, 24NewsHD TV reported.

 Asim won the 54-minute contest 3-2, with a score of 11-5, 11-8, 6-11, 9-11, 11-6, after surrendering a two-game lead before finishing strongly in the decider.

The Pakistani now needs one more win in the final to secure direct qualification for the World Squash Championship main draw, giving Asim a chance to compete on squash’s biggest international stage.

Pakistan, historically a powerhouse in squash, is looking to strengthen its presence internationally, and Asim’s progress to the final marks another positive step for the country’s national team.
