Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday visited Quetta and attended the funeral prayers of Core Commander Lt General Sarfaraz Ali and Brigadier Muhammad Khalid, both of whom were martyred along with other army officers in a helicopter crash in Lasbela, Balochistan yesterday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Governor Balochistan Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddoos Bizenjo, provincial ministers and senior military and civil officials offered the prayers besides relatives of the martyrs.   

According to the ISPR, later he went to meet the families of the martyred officers and offered his condolences to them. 

He also went to the home of Lt Colonel Laiq Beg Mirza, who was martyred in Ziarat, Balochistan by the insurgents.    

Later, bodies of Lt General Sarfaraz Ali, Major General Amjad Haneef and Brigadier Muhammad Khalid were shifted to Rawalpindi where their funeral prayers will be offered at Army Graveyard, Rawalpindi at 5:30 PM today. Later, they will be buried with full military honor.   

According to an ISPR statement, Namaz -e-Janaza of Major Talha Manan shaheed, Major Saeed and Naik Mudassar Fayyaz Shaheed was offered at their native towns.

Nama-e-Janaza of Major Talha Shaheed was offered at Rawalpindi. Chief of General Staff Pakistan Army Lieutenant General Azhar Abbas, Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Commander Rawalpindi Corps, senior serving and retired military officials, relatives of shaheed and people from all walks of life attended Namaz e Janaza.

A Pakistan Army contingent presented guard of honour. Shaheed was buried with full military honour. Commander Rawalpindi Corps presented national flag to shaheed’s father. 

Nama-e-Janaza of Naik Mudassar Fayyaz was offered at Shakargarh, Narowal. General Officer Commanding Sialkot Garrison,  senior military and civil officials including DPO and DC Narowal attended the funeral. Pakistan army contingent presented guard of honour. National flag was presented and floral wreaths were laid .

Namaze Janaza of Shaheed Maj Saeed was offered at Larkana. Commander Logistics Pannu Aqil Garrison,  serving  senior officers, Soldiers, relatives of the Shaheed and large no of people from civil society attended Namaz -e- Janaza.
