A deaf and dumb girl was allegedly raped in her house in Bhola Bajwa, a village in the suburbs of Narowal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

The incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Narowal Saddr police station.

“My deaf, mute and mentally challenged daughter Atiya was raped by Karamat Ali, a resident of the same village,” Shehnaz Bibi, mother of the affected girl, said.

“When I went to the room, Karamat Ali, son of Lal Din, was raping my daughter,” she alleged.

“Narowal Saddr police have registered a case on our complaint, but they have not arrested the accused yet,” she added.

“We are receiving threats of murder and serious consequences from the accused,” she maintained and appealed to the prime minister and the Punjab chief minister for justice.

“The accused has been arrested. We are investigating the case. Soon his arrest will be made public,” the station house officer (SHO) said.
