Brooklyn and Nicola renew wedding vows amid deepening rift with Beckham family

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz have renewed their wedding vows, three years after their lavish 2022 ceremony. Still, the occasion was notably clouded by the couple’s ongoing estrangement from Brooklyn’s famous family.

The 26-year-old eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, and 30-year-old actress and heiress Nicola Peltz, reaffirmed their commitment in an intimate celebration on Saturday.

A source close to the couple confirmed the news to the Daily Mail, saying, “This is a moment to celebrate their love and commitment, and to create a meaningful memory together.”

Despite the personal milestone, the vow renewal comes amid growing tension between the young couple and the rest of the Beckham clan. Brooklyn and Nicola have found themselves increasingly distanced from his parents and younger brothers, a rift that has played out both privately and publicly in recent months.

The couple, who began dating in 2019 and got engaged in 2020, originally tied the knot on April 9, 2022, in a star-studded ceremony at the Peltz family estate in Palm Beach, Florida. However, their third anniversary in April 2025 was met with radio silence from David, Victoria, and Brooklyn’s brothers Romeo and Cruz. None of them liked or commented on the couple’s anniversary posts, igniting renewed rumours of an ongoing family feud.

In June, Brooklyn marked the five-year anniversary of his proposal to Nicola by posting a heartfelt message on Instagram: "Best decision ever. I love you so much ❤️.” Nicola also shared emotional reflections, but again, no acknowledgement came from the Beckham side.

Even more telling, the couple’s wedding vow renewal received no public congratulations from the family either. Reports now suggest Brooklyn has become estranged from his parents, after he skipped David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations in May and failed to publicly wish either of his parents a happy birthday this year, a sharp break from the family’s typical display of online affection.

Fueling the drama, it has also been noted that Brooklyn and Nicola no longer follow his brothers Romeo and Cruz on Instagram. However, sources close to the couple say that the younger Beckhams were actually the ones who blocked Brooklyn and Nicola.

Despite the public family fallout, Brooklyn and Nicola continue to present a united front. Celebrating their renewed vows, Brooklyn shared a throwback wedding photo with the caption: “Happy 3 year anniversary baby x I love you with all my heart… You are my world.”

Nicola echoed the sentiment in her own post but once again received no digital acknowledgement from her in-laws.

The Beckhams, once regarded as a tightly-knit celebrity family, now face ongoing speculation about a deeper divide. Insiders claim David and Victoria have “become resigned” to the distance between them and their eldest son,  especially in contrast to Brooklyn’s warm birthday wishes for his father-in-law, billionaire Nelson Peltz.
