Honey trap victims rescued from Sindh’s Katcha area

In a joint operation carried out by police and rangers, three persons from Punjab were rescued from the Katcha area of Kashmore, Sindh.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, they had been held hostage by dacoits after being lured through a honey trap.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kashmore told the media that the raid was conducted in the Haji Khan Shar area, following credible intelligence about the presence of the abductees.

As police and Rangers moved in, the dacoits fled, leaving behind the three kidnapped victims, who were safely recovered without resistance.

The rescued men have been identified as Azizur Rehman, Haji Maqsood, and Mohammad Ashraf.

Sources revealed that the victims had been tricked and kidnapped several months ago using a honey trap tactic — a method often employed by Katcha gangs operating in Sindh's riverine areas.

Authorities have launched further investigations and vowed to continue operations against dacoit hideouts in the region.
