Sardar Qayyum Niazi held from Bhimber, PTI slams arrest

Ahead of August 5 protest call by founder Imran Khan, PTI Azad Kashmir chapter President and former AJK Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi has been arrested by police from Bhimber on Sunday. 

According to police sources, Niaz’s arrest warrants had been issued for Niazi in connection with the May 9 riots. After the arrests he is likely to be shifted to Mirpur. PTI claims Niaz was arrested on the orders of AJP Premier Ch Anwar-ul-Haq. PTI has condemned his arrested and termed it the worst example of political victimization.
