Shahid Shafi’s funeral prayers held in Model Town, laid to rest

The funeral prayers of Mian Shahid Shafi, cousin of PML-N chief Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, who had passed away on Saturday, was offered at Ittefaq Mosque in Model Town Lahore on Sunday. The funeral prayers was attended by PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, Federal Minister Khawaja Asif, former Federal Minister Gohar Ijaz, Provincial Minister Bilal Yasin, Amir Muqam, Mian Javed Latif, Ch Sher Ali, Ch Abid Sher Ali, Sohail Zia Butt, Omar Sohail Zia Butt and other political and social figures. 

Former Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz, Azizur Rehman Chan, Sohail Sarfraz Manj, senior journalist Irfan Nazir, Sheikh Kamran and otyher also attended the funeral. 

He was laid to rest in the ancestral graveyard opposite Cup Store, UET. The late Shahid Shafi was staying in Murree with his family. The body of the late Shahid Shafi was being shifted from Murree to Lahore.
