Women's bike rally kicks off freedom festivities in Karachi

A vibrant women’s bike rally was held in the spirit of Independence Day and in tribute to the struggle for truth, organised by the Sindh Department of Culture and Tourism on Sunday. 

According to the 24NewHD TV channel, the rally started from the historic Quaid-e-Azam House Museum and concluded at the Chaukhandi Tombs, symbolising heritage and empowerment.

Hundreds of female riders took part in the rally, expressing excitement and joy at being part of such a unique initiative.

“It was a new and empowering experience,” said participants, who described the rally as a celebration of freedom, identity, and strength.

Ministers Join Rally; Praise Women's Role in Society
The event was graced by Sindh Minister for Culture and Tourism Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah and Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani, who also performed the flag-hoisting ceremony at the rally's starting point.

“Women stand shoulder to shoulder with men in every field,” said the ministers, highlighting their pivotal role in national progress.

With a collective spirit of patriotism, the rally reached its finale at the Chaukhandi Cemetery, where the message of women's empowerment and national unity was echoed loudly.

On this occasion, the ministers also announced a special competition: “Citizens who decorate their homes, shops, or vehicles most beautifully on Independence Day will receive special prizes.”
