Pakistan to observe one-minute silence on Aug 5 in solidarity with Kashmiris

A one-minute silence will be observed across Pakistan at 9am on August 5 to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people on Youm-e-Istehsal.

The Cabinet Division issued a notification after receiving approval from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to the notification, the prime minister directed that the silence be observed nationwide as a mark of solidarity with Kashmiris on Youm-e-Istehsal.

Pakistan observes August 5 as Youm-e-Istehsal to condemn India’s actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
