Rs1.43 billion spared for Lahore Museum upgradation

A prequalification notice has been issued seeking bids for upgradation of Lahore Museum in accordance with the international standards, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

The Infrastructure Development Authority of Punjab (IDAP) has invited bids from eligible contractors as estimated cost of the Lahore Museum project was set at approximately Rs1.437 billion. 

According to the notice, the project will include civil, architectural, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire-fighting and external development works. Contractors will also be responsible for providing all necessary construction materials, machinery, formwork and manpower required for the project.

Only general contractors registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in Category C-1 or above will be eligible to apply.

Prequalification applications must be submitted through the Punjab e-Procurement System, and only registered contractors on the platform will be allowed to participate in the bidding process.

The deadline for submitting applications has been set for August 25, 2026, while the pre-qualification applications will be opened the same day.

The Lahore Museum's historical heritage will be preserved, restored, and upgraded according to the international standards.
