Four car wash stations sealed in Lahore for not activating recycling plants

Judicial Commission Task Force (JCTF) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Punjab have sealed four car wash stations and imposed Rs80,000 as a fine on them in Lahore for failing to acting recycling plants, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

During the routine checking, recycling plants that were installed in these car washing centers were found to be non-functional.

The team directed owners of car washing centers to ensure recycling plants are installed, operational, and continuously maintained at car wash stations.

The joint team warned that regular repair and maintenance of plants should be ensured to prevent water wastage.

The team warned that strict action will be taken against those car washing centers who will failed to comply with the terms and conditions.

The Commission said “strict measures will be adopted to protect against wastage of water”.
