Imran Khan's family meetings will be stopped now: Vawda

Senator Faisal Vawda has said that now family meetings with PTI founder Imran Khan will also be stopped, claiming that his meetings are being used for political messaging.

Taking to his social media post on X, Vawda said the mentally ill, blind and deaf should listen up: Individuals facing legal proceedings are permitted to meet family members due for knowing the well-being of each other and lawyers for case-related matters. However, he questioned that these meetings are being used to relay political messages.

He declared that now family visits would be restricted, and lawyers delivering political messages unrelated to legal matters would also be barred.

Faisal Vawda issued sharp warnings against what he described as mentally ill people attempting to destabilise Pakistan and malign the armed forces. He said no tolerance would be shown for those who “target the victorious forces and their commanders,” adding that harsh action would be taken against anyone spreading unfounded allegations.

Calling such actions a dirty-minded conspiracy, he said they would be stopped strictly and without compromise. The senator said that respect would be given doubly where respect is shown, and “the answer to mistreatment is double mistreatment.” He accused a political faction of pushing the country to a “crossroads” where returning to stability has become difficult.

Vawda asserted that all cases and investigations will now be taken to their logical conclusion. Vawda issued a particular warning to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, stating that if the chief minister creates further fuss, governor’s rule will eliminate whatever politics remains.

He also claimed that those allegedly involved in the May 9 incidents and hiding in KP should consider themselves fortunate for now.
