Judge who gave verdict of 190m pound case gets promoted

Accountability Court Judge Nasir Javed Rana Monday transferred as a District and Sessions Judge, Islamabad West.

Judge Nasir Javed Rana had been serving as the Accountability Bail Judge, where he presided over several high-profile cases, including the conviction of the founder of PTI in 190 million pound case.

Judge Nasir Javed Rana’s appointment was made following a notification issued on the direction of Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court (IHC) Aamer Farooq.

The post stayed vacant after the elevation of the previous District and Sessions Judge Azam Khan's to the High Court.

Additional Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry held the temporary post of Sessions Judge till the appointments of Nasir Javed.
